Still Packing...

*hug*

Well, I'm finishing up my packing tonight, so that I can leave for a new country tomorrow.

It hasn't really sunk in yet, to tell you the truth. Sometimes it has, like when I am on the phone making plans and driving and apartment hunting, but tonight, sitting in front of the computer, with my sister in the next room with the suitcases open and the room a mess... right now I can't imagine leaving all this behind.

So I'm putting it off a couple of minutes longer and writing this.

And of course, Crystal is so far away in some ways, and yet close in others, you might know what I mean, if you're from the ships. I was just on the phone with a ship friend with a quick gab-- I hadn't called him the two months while I was home though I said I would. We chatted for a couple of minutes before I went back to packing. I've had a lot of nice, last chats on the phone with people today, while I'm still in the same country. I'll miss being conveniently here.

I'm wistful, leaving all this behind. Scared, by the looks of my bank accounts from the last two months. Ack!

Anyway, just a few little comments on the eve of my Great Adventure.
