Dance Off!

We share a lot of our classes and professors with the City Planning department, and some Fellows organized a "dance off" between our two departments. It was held downtown, we rented out a bar.

Lots of fun, it was cool to see everyone come and blow off some steam after a crazy first month. I actually volunteered for the job of passing out Mardi Gras style beads at the door, it made me feel like I was back on the cruise ship again welcoming my friends at a crew only theme party. :)

My school is known for having a large community of Salsa dancers on campus. I got to see this first hand at the dance off, a lot of people were really talented and showing their moves on the dance floor. The grad hangout sponsors salsa lessons and it's a really good way to socialize and stay in shape at the same time. I keep meaning to go but something always seems to come up on Wednesday nights... oh well maybe next semester.
